Verdict
Atlético will feel good about the win but will know the first hour left something to be desired. Scoring twice in a 15-minute window is a useful habit, but relying on it every week isn't a strategy. The bigger question for the visitors is what they take from this. Málaga came in with some form — a win in their last outing — and they competed for long stretches. Getting outpossessed 53-47 and keeping shots on target to just one isn't a bad defensive blueprint. El problema is that one goal changes everything against a side with Atlético's quality on the counter, and they had no answer for it when it came.
